Having fun and getting fit in Ibiza is possible: Sports that you can practice on the island

We have repeated it a thousand times. Ibiza is not just paradisiacal beaches … For example, music is one of the most important tourist attractions, and in Ibiza Global we take care that your musical experience in Ibiza is worth it!! But what do you tell us about the sports activities you can do on the island? Being on vacation is not an excuse for not being active… Have a look at these funny sports!

Those who love sailing sports have a coast dotted with islets where to sail and beautiful cliffs to contemplate. It is not the most tired sport … but it offers spectacular views and is something you must do when you visit the island. On the island there is a wide variety of sailing boats for rent and allowing passengers, in many cases, the unique possibility of staying overnight at sea.

If you like to dive and have not yet done a dive in Ibiza you will be impressed by the extraordinary luminosity of its waters, the diversity of species and the caves you can find. On the island operate many diving centers, which make available to the diver the most attractive routes and adapted to their level.

Kayaking is another of the island’s sports that is gaining prominence among activities in Ibiza. This simple boat to manage offers you a different way to move through the more than 200 kilometers of the Ibizan coast and gives access to charming coves and some of the many natural caves that form in its geography.

Ibiza has never been well known for its surfing activity, since the island does not suffer from strong winds with which to enjoy good waves. However, there are some coves in which it is possible to practice surfing, such as Cala Nova: Being located in the southeast of the island, is an ideal position for the wind to attract good waves to land, sometimes several meters high, which makes the days of wind perfect for surfing lovers!

Paddle is a sport that has experienced an authentic revolution in Ibiza. Since 2002, more players have been added and there are more than 50 paddle clubs scattered throughout the island. Get ready to sweat and have a good time!

Visiting the island of Ibiza on foot is one of the best ways to get in touch with its fauna and flora while discovering the charms of the interior and the coast.

If you like to pedal, cycling around the island is another activity in Ibiza with which you can take advantage of your visit. Among the multiple routes, it is advisable to travel along the coast of the Ses Salines Natural Park or visit the Dalt Vila walled enclosure, declared by UNESCO a World Heritage Site.

The island is full of exciting things and places. Don’t miss any plan!! And remember that there’s always time to practice some sport 😉
